Hi Friends! I have a special treat for you! Welcome to my first VBlog. I'm sharing with you one of my favourite smoothie recipes. Please make sure to LIKE and SHARE the video and Subscribe to the channel for new recipe videos every week. :)

One of my favorite fruits is papaya. Since arriving in Costa Rica in January, I don't think I've eaten so much papaya and pineapple in my life. These fruits are widely available and super delicious. Lately, I have really been enjoying a Tropical Green Smoothie consisting of papaya, pineapple, spinach and ginger. This smoothie is so refreshing and full of vitamins and minerals. And, if you are anything like me and not a fan of bananas, you'll love this recipe. The papaya helps make this recipe uber creamy!

Tropical Green Smoothie

What You'll Need

1 cup pineapple 1 cup papaya 1/2 inch ginger root 12 oz water Optional: 1 scoop plant based protein (I used Sun Warrior Warrior Blend) Optional: 3-4 cubes of ice High-speed blender

What You'll Need To Know

Add the ingredients into the blend and blend for 30 seconds or until the smoothie ingredients have reached a smooth and creamy consistency. Add a straw and enjoy! If you don't want to use a protein powder, you could also add hemp seeds or chia seeds instead...or nothing at all. I personally love adding a boost of a plant-based protein.

About the Water... In the video, it looks like my water is dirty. It isn't. I simply infused the water with papaya and pineapple overnight.

What You'll Love

Papaya is rich in enzymes that help regulate your digestive system and break up food. Papaya is a great food for people with digestive problems because of the digestive enzymes that it contains. These enzymes help rebuild your digestive system.

Pineapple contains a  proteolytic enzyme bromelain. This enzyme helps the with digestion of protein. Pineapple also is great for removing infections and intestinal worms from your body.

Spinach contains  flavonoids. Flavonoids work like antioxidants and fight against cancer. Also spinach, is a heart-healthy food that promotes gastrointestinal health and good eyesight.
